National guidelines have advised Doctors against prescribing Diazepam for two main reasons.Â
Firstly, it is not licensed for this indication so any Doctor prescribing it for a fear of flying so would be putting their medical license at risk.Â
Secondly, it’s use can lead to disinhibition and make people behave in ways they normally wouldn’t. This can impact on their safety and the safety of other passengers.
